Choosing the Right Hose Reel

Hose Capacity

Capacity is estimated from the reel's drum volume and your hose's outer diameter. Always leave ~10% slack for easy winding.

Material Selection

Standard environments work with powder-coated steel. Saltwater requires 304 stainless. Chemical exposure demands 316 marine-grade stainless.

Inlet/Outlet Size

Match the reel's NPT inlet to your hose size. A 3/8" hose on a 1/2" inlet reel needs a bushing adapter — works fine, just an extra fitting.
